PeaPod Plus Portable Kids Travel Bed Reviews

For all intents and purposes, it's a tiny indoor hoop tent.As others mention, it folds up under tension and unfolds with a bit of force. It's not unlike those full-windshield sun visors that spring open onto the dash. Personally, I love pulling it out and having it pop open to full size with a FROOOMP but the first time, make sure you have room. It's also very easy and fast to fold up (once you get the knack). So, did he like it? It probably depends on the kid, but for us: First time he went in, he lost his mind. He screamed bloody murder for the better part of the night. The second time, he wasn't happy about it but he got to sleep. By about the fourth time he was happy to get in by himself, and by the end of the week, he was zipping it shut himself (there are zipper pulls on the inside, too). The sides roll up and there's mesh screen flaps all around, as well, so... We love it! She had no problem laying down in it. Seemed to like to zip herself in. She slept well in it without any wake ups and wanted to play in it throughout the day as did the other kids that were with us! We couldn't be happier and we are now happy to have an alternative to lugging around the pack and play for other kinds of trips. A lot of reviewed address folding it as a problem, but after a few false starts we were able to figure it out without any trouble. It just takes a few tries before you get the hang of it. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for something like this. We went with this bigger one in hopes that it will last a few more years. A Must For Campers & On The Goers, By Kelly (Charlotte, NC) - See all my reviews This review is from: PeaPod Plus Portable Kids Travel Bed (Baby Product) We have been using this for 3 years. It replaced a small pack & play in our camper. We also use it for things like sleep overs & at the office. Even when not sleeping it makes a great tent & defines her space.Be sure to spring for the PeaPod Plus. It's a bit longer. The width is ample. Our child (avg size 4yo) will probably keep using it after outgrowing the length because she doesn't stretch while sleeping. It's super light, durable & fold/stores great. Definitely one of my favorite baby products! Two things stopped me from giving this 5 stars. 1.) The sleeping bag is a smothering risk for under 3, at least. They added huge clips to shorten it for younger children. They don't make any sense. 2.) They do not clearly explain it is not ideal for toddling babies. If they roll over or push it on a side it could roll the tent with the child. The tent came with stakes but as in the photos they show- it's used indoors too! Removable weights would... Read more |
